Students are completing an audio response packet while listening to The
Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane. Additionally, they will choose one
art/writing assignment to complete. The audio response packet and
art/writing assignments are due Wednesday, April 16, 2008.
April 16, 17, 18: Computer Lab to submit 3rd 9 weeks HOLT online writing
assessment.
During TCAPs we are going to read and listen to The Miraculous Journey of
Edward Tulane by Kate DiCamillo. She has also authored the award winning
books Because of Winn Dixie and The Tale of Despereaux. Students may wish to
purchase Edward Tulane, which is now available in paperback.

Parents, I am running low on prizes for the Friday Lucky Draw. The students
would really appreciate any donations you could send. On their behalf, thank
you for supporting DGP and cooperative student behavior.
For the third nine weeks DGP, we will begin having weekly tests and some
days will be combined. Students will complete the Monday assignment on
Monday. Tuesday assignments will be completed on Tuesday. We will combine
Wednesday and Thursday to be completed on Wednesday. And the diagram will be
completed in class on Thursday. Students will take the quiz in class on
Friday. All questions will come directly from the DGP that students complete
in class as well as the corrections that we do together on the overhead
projector. There will be ten items on each weekly test worth 100 points.
