| Duke University Talent Identification Program (TIP)-
The objectives of TIP are to identify the very bright students at an
early age, facilitate an education of these students, and to develop an
effective research effort to help understand the nature of academically
talented adolescents. The students who qualify will have the opportunity to
take the College Board's Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) and the American
College Testing (ACT). To qualify, the student must have scored at the 95% or
above on the national norm of a standardized achievement (TCAP), aptitude of
a mental ability test battery. All 7th graders should receive an
informational letter to take to their parents and determine whether they
qualify based on their scores.
