Recipe for Sixth Grade

Ingredients:

1 Bunch of Happy and Eager Students

1 Enthusiastic, Energetic, Creative, and Loving Teacher

Combine the above ingredients with:

2 Cups Reading

1 Cup English

1 Cup Math

1 Cup Spelling

1 Cup Writing

1 Cup Science and Social Studies

1 Cup Friendship

1 Cup Honesty

1 Cup Respect

1 Cup Concern and Love for Each Other

Add the following spices for added flavor:

1 Cup Exploritory and RICA classes

A large portion of learning centers

An abundance of supportive and concerned parents

A heaping portion of fun and engaging learning activities

Blend reading, english, math, spelling, writing, science, and social studies very carefully and thoroughly each day.  Add honesty, friendship, respect and concern for each other in heaping portions.  Add a bunch of love and enthusiasm along with a scoop of understanding and a sprinkle of discipline daily.  Mix in exploritory and RICA classes for added spice.  Sift in a blend of learning centers to enhance all learning styles.  Mix in a large portion of fun and engaging learning activities to make learning fun.  Mix thoroughly and check to see if all ingredients are blending and being learned.  Bake in a Sixth Grade classroom each day.  Watch them grow and learn daily, adding more of each ingredient as needed.  When they are done and the year is through - allow them to venture into the world with knowledge, love, respect, and self-esteem!

Enjoy!
