Band Student and Parents:
The 2008 Spring Concert is scheduled for Tuesday, May 20th at 7:00 PM in the school
auditorium. The program will include the 6th grade band and the combined 7th and
8th grade bands. The concert should last approximately 30 minutes. I will need a
few students to come an hour before the concert to move and set up equipment.
Everyone else should be in place no later than 6:45.
The 6th grade band will warm-up on the stage while the 7th and 8th graders will be
seated in the front rows in the auditorium. After performing, the 6th graders will
exit stage left and take the seats of the 7th and 8th as they prepare to enter stage right.
After the 7th and 8th perform two selections, the 7th will exit the stage leaving the 8th
to perform the final selection.
The dress for the event is considered “dress code or better.” This means the students
are expected to abide by the school and county dress code policy, but can dress nicer
if he or she chooses.
