How to enroll if you are moving inside the state of Tennessee:

If you are moving to Wilson Central High School from another public or
private school inside the state of Tennessee, you will need a copy of the
withdrawal form (this way we know the student is no longer on the role at
the former school), a copy of the student's transcript will be helpful in
selecting classes, a utility bill (water, gas, electric) - if a utility bill
is not available because of the new purchase of your home, then a copy of
the contract is sufficient. If there are custody issues, as in the case of
a divorce, we will also need a copy of the court documents stating who has
custody of the student. If you do not have a place of residence yet, and
are living with friends or relatives, we have a form that the person you are
living with must complete and have notarized for proof of residence (for
zoning purposes). Once all paperwork is on file and the student is
enrolled, we will request the students grades from the previous school. For
questions regarding student records you may contact the school registrar at
615-453-4600 ext. 3017

How to enroll if you are moving from another state to our school district:

You will need to complete the necessary enrollment forms, provide a utility
bill (water, gas, electric), the students immunization record must be
transferred to a Tennessee Green Form provided by the Wilson County Health
Department, and the student must have a copy of a current physical (within
the past year). If a physical is not available, the Wilson County Health
Department can take care giving the student a physical. An appointment time
will then have to be provided to our guidance department in writing from the
health department. A copy of the student's transcript from the previous
school will also be helpful in determining classes. If you are living with
friends or relatives while waiting for a permanent residence, the persons
you are living with must complete a form available in the guidance office
(this form must be notarized) to show proof of residence.

Will my student's credits trasfer?

Wilson Central High School is on block scheduling. If your student is
coming from a school that has 7 classes per semester, your student will
actually have more credits than needed. If your student is coming from a
school with block scheduling, then the student will probably pick right up
where he/she left off at the previous school.

How long is the school year for WCHS?

Wilson County Schools are on a modified calendar which means that we go to
school for nine weeks and are off two except in the summer. We are out for
8 weeks of summer vacation. Our first school day normally falls around
August 1 and the last school day falls around June 1. We have a fall break
in October (usually the first two weeks) and a Christmas break the last week
of December and part of January. Then we have a spring break during March.
