Early Life: Born 18 October 1970 in Gallatin, TN, raised in the Federal Housing Authority in Gallatin (as Jay-Z said, "I'm from the projects, with the roaches and the rejects"). High School: Portland High School, Portland, TN. class of 1989 Military: United States Marine Corps, 1989-1993. Trained to destroy tanks, bunkers, and other fortified structures with an 83mm Rocket Launcher and/or explosives. Earned 13 medals and decorations, most concerning combat action during the First Persian Gulf War. Recieved an Honorable Discharge in June 1993. College: Volunteer State Community College, 1993-1996. Western Kentucky University, 1996-1998. Trevecca Nazarene University, 2004-2005. Teaching Experience: 2000-2002 R.T. Fisher Alternative School, Gallatin, TN. U.S. History/World Geography. 2002-2004 Station Camp High School, Gallatin, TN. U.S. History/World Geography. Assistant Coach, Girls Basketball. 2004-2005 Hillsboro High School, Nashville, TN. U.S. History/World Geography. Assistant Coach, Girls Basketball. 2005-present Wilson Central High School, Lebanon, TN. U.S. History/World Geography/Contemporary Issues. Head Coach, Boys Soccer 2006 and 2007. District 9AAA Boys Soccer Coach of the Year, 2007 Head Coach, Girls Soccer 2006. Personal: I am married to Carmen Valkyrie, who teaches English at Wilson Central High School. We have 2 cats named Jay Cutler Valkyrie and Earl Bennett Valkyrie.
