For those students who do not complete their homework assignments the
following applies:
1st missed assignment...
Academic detention will be assigned for the student
to complete the work for partial credit. Detention will be after school on
Mondays and/or Wednesdays. If the student does not serve the detention, a
grade of zero will be given for that assignment.
2nd missed assignment...
Academic detention will be assigned for the student
to complete the work for partial credit. Detention will be after school on
Mondays and/or Wednesdays. If the student does not serve the detention, a
grade of zero will be given for that assignment.
3rd missed assignment...
The parent will be called and notified that an academic detention will be
assigned for the student to complete the work for partial credit. Detention
will be after school on Mondays and/or Wednesdays. If the student does not
serve the detention or if assignments continue to be missed, the student
will be sent to the appropriate principal for Saturday School placement. The
work must still be completed for partial credit.
If Saturday School is not served...
The student will receive two days ISS with a parent conference and possible
shadowing of student. Saturday School will be required to be made up and the
work will still need to be completed for partial credit.
If the above is not met then the student will receive two days OSS.
This policy was created by the WCHS Homework Policy Committee and
approved by the WCHS administration.
