Commonly asked questions

No, you may not go to the snack machine or drink machine during class time.

Yes, you may have food and drinks in class but they must be in a sealed 
container.

Yes, you may use the pencil sharpener but only if no one is speaking.

No, you may not leave your bags/purses on the table. They must remain on 
the floor.

What are Mrs. Pulcastro's classroom rules?

Classroom Rules
1.	Begin work when the bell rings.
2.	Follow directions the first time they are given.
3.	Raise your hand and wait for permission to speak.
4.	Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself. NO AIR TIME!
5.	No cursing, teasing, or name-calling. Period.

What happens when I choose to break a rule?

IF YOU CHOOSE TO BREAK A RULE
FIRST TIME:              Name on board. Warning.
SECOND TIME:         One check. *15 minutes morning detention.
THIRD TIME:            Two checks. *30 minutes morning detention. 
FOURTH TIME:        Three checks. *Written referral and call home.
FIFTH TIME:             Four checks: *Written referral and sent to 
administrator.

SEVERE 
DISRUPTION: Written referral and student sent immediately to administrator. 
*NAMES  AND CHECKS ARE ERASED EACH WEDNESDAY.

What is detention?

Detention is assigned by the classroom teacher with 2 days advanced notice.
When a student receives detention he or she must report to Mrs. Pulcastro in 
W101. The student must arrive by 7:30a.m. and stay until 
8:00a.m. I will occasionally sign lunch detention if necessary. During this 
time the student can make-up work and get needed help.

What happens if I'm late to class?

1. Sign the late log
2. Put note in front pocket
3. Quietly take your seat

What happens if my tardy is unexcused?

1st offense-verbal warning
2nd offense-1/2 hour morning detention/lunch detention & call home
3rd offense- 3 detentions & call home
4th offense-Referral to Principal-Principal Action
***failure to show up for detention will result in the next consequence***
