I am married to Tim Smith who started teaching this year at CHS - 9th grade World History.
We raised a blended family of five sons. I retired from the Air Force as a
CMSgt (E-9) in 2006 after 27 years. I have two pound puppies (Millie and
Peanut), and a pet raccoon named Bandit.
I have taught several grade levels and subject areas in my 14 years of
teaching. This will be my 5th year as a 6th grade Social Studies teacher. I
find it an extremely relevant subject to teach and work hard to make learning
about World History a meaningful experience.
My mission as your child's sixth grade Social Studies teacher is to provide
an effective, engaging, structured, and fun learning environment. Social
Studies at this grade level is referred to as World History and also includes
Cultures, Economics, and Geography. I love teaching and look forward to each
day. By working together, we can help your child achieve his/her highest
level of success.
