This coming year we will be working with an art history theme. We will
start with prehistoric cave art and then explore ancient, classical, midieval,
renaissance, impressionist, expressionist and modern art up to the present
day. We will be looking at these artworks to inspire our own works of art
throughout the year and to enact some live action "living paintings". We will
also have an end of the year "masterpiece" show in which each student will
exhibit their best work of the year. It is my hope that students will enjoy
this experience and learn both more about the world and its history as well as
express themselves and explore their own unfolding personal history.
