Don't ever ask this question.  All teachers dislike the question - we always 
do something...every day!!  Try asking "What are we going to do today?"

Did I miss anything when I was absent yesterday?
This is similar to question 2 in teachers' minds....if we do something every 
day, then you will miss something anytime you are absent.  A better way to 
phrase the question would be: "What did I miss yesterday?"
