I have a BS degree in Education from Texas Christian University and an MA
degree in English from the University of North Texas. I have been in
education for 21 years, and 8 of those years I served as an Academic
Coordinator for the Fort Worth ISD. I was honored to be named the Marva
Collins Teacher of the Year in the Aledo ISD in May 2009. Prior to earning
my degree in education, I worked 10 years for the government. My husband is
a corporate pilot, and our daughter has a master's degree in Art History from
the University of London and lives in Los Angeles with her husband.
I absolutely love teaching seniors and British literature! I have been to
England three times, and the most wonderful thing was to visit the Bronte
parsonage in Haworth (northern England). Walking through the rooms where
Emily, Charlotte and Anne lived and wrote their novels was the ultimate!
My goal in teaching is to take my students on a journey with me as we delve
into the wonders of literature.
