How do I contact my child's teacher? You may leave a message on voice mail, e-mail, or write a note. Your child's teacher will respond as quickly as possible. For emergencies, call the office directly at 428-3700. Conferences may be scheduled most days between 11:10-12:00, or after school from 2:45-3:15. Please make sure that you schedule your conference ahead of time to avoid conflicts. How do I deliver forgotten items (lunches, homework) to my child? All items should be labeled with the student's and teacher's names and delivered directly to the office. The office staff will deliver items to the student's classroom. Please go through the office, not directly to your child's classroom. How do I get a message to my child during the school day? Please call the office, 428-3700, with any important messages. The office staff will deliver the message to your child. The teachers often don't get to check messages until after the children leave. Can my child leave during the day for a doctor's appointment? Yes, go directly to the office, and the office staff will assist you. Your child will not be released from class until you have officially signed him/her out. Is it okay to send treats for my child's birthday? According to state law, parents may not provide food to other children in the class. Please do not bring birthday treats for everyone, we will not be allowed to pass them out. What can I do if my child has a difficult time with homework? Please contact your child's teacher if homework difficulty is constant. May I pick my child up early from the playground? No, we may not release your child from the playground. You must go to the office and officially sign your child out any time they leave before 2:45. We are not permitted to release your child unless you have a paper from the office indicating you have signed him/her out. |
