We are beginning a wonderful new IB unit about family heritage and traditions. You will play a big role in this unit since your child will do a lot of talking about and to family members. We are really excited about the great stories each family has to share.
In Language Arts, we are talking about fairy tales, folk tales, and fables. As always in fourth grade, writing is a very important part of our curriculum. Talk to your child about what he/she is writing and help him/her come up with some new ideas.
In math, we are learning about measurement. We are looking at length, area, and perimeter. Allow your child the opportunity to measure items around the house with a tape measure or ruler. Check out our online resources for websites that have measurement games.
