Peaceful School and No Place for Hate

Anderson Mill is proud to be a part of Peaceful Schools International and to be recognized as a Peaceful School. PSI was founded by Hetty van Gurp in 2001. This non-profit organization offers support and resources to schools that have declared a commitment to creating and maintaining a school culture of peace.

Anderson Mill was also recognized as a "No Place for Hate" school in the spring of 2007. No Place for Hate is a part of the Anti-Defamation League. This campaign allows schools the opportunity to make an effort toward the goal of awareness and understanding in order to fight prejudice, bigotry and discrimination. Our school wants to set a high standard of respect for diversity.

Throughout the year, Anderson Mill will be participating in activities and observing special days to ensure that all our students and staff feel safe, respected, and valued.
