Students are given six week AR goals.
These are reached by reading books at their assigned level and taking/passing
the comprehension test. Each book has a point value, and students collect
their points to be part of "Point Clubs". The point value depends on the
length of the book and the reading level. Point goals will be set each six
weeks along with the student's reading level. Students take these tests at
school, and they may not use their book or get outside help to answer the
questions. This is part of their six week reading average. I send home weekly
AR reports. Please sign them and return them to school. At the end of the six
weeks, I will send home a longer report for you to see. In their Aviator
Notebook, you will find their six week goal requirements and reading levels.
