This is my 7th year with the Garland ISD, and my 20th year to teach. I have
taught grades 1-7. This is my fifth year at Armstrong. This is a
wonderful place to teach!
I grew up in New Mexico, and I graduated from New Mexico State University.
During my spare time, when I have it, I like to read and do cross-
stitching. I also like to camp. Beaver Bend is one of my favorite camping
spots. I dream of one day going to Australia to snorkel the Great Barrier
Reef.
I believe that every student has the right to reach their full potential.
My job is to help in that endeavor. I believe that every child can learn
with the right support from both home and school. I have high expectations
for each of my students, and refuse to accept the words "I can't". As I
often tell my students, "It might not always be easy, but I would never
give you something you couldn't do."
