This program is designed to provide enrichment activities for identified GT students in grades K-5
(kindergarten students are screened and tested starting in November and begin classes in March).
Students leave their regular classroom 3 times a week at Bales and 2 times a week at Westwood to
attend the pullout program.
During this time, students will experience higher level thinking activities designed to encourage
different levels of thinking. Each grade level has certain topics and skills that are stressed. The skills
taught in the SEARCH include:
* Creativity
* Research
* Presentation
* Technology
* Problem solving
* Leadership
* Task Commitment
* Social Skills
