The 2008-09 school year begins Miss Williams 28th year as a school teacher. She holds both
secondary and elementary certificates as well as a specialist certificate in GT education. In FISD Miss
Williams has taught at Bales, Westwood, FJHS, and FHS. Both her bachelor and master degrees are in
Fine Arts (theatre), but she also has taken many graduate hours in writing and GT education. She
loves to travel and thinks that reading is almost as important as breathing.
What Miss Williams wants for her students to gain from being in SEARCH is a love of learning. Her
mission for the class is help students use different ways of thinking and viewing subjects. She hopes
their abilities to think and question will transfer to all school subjects and be applicable all of their
lives.
