Announcements
~ Last week of school is here!
~ Please send all library books back to school as soon as possible. If they are lost please send the money that is on the note so that we can replace it.
~ I will be sending home spring conference forms if we have not meet yet. Please read over it and send it back signed. If you have any questions please feel free to call or email me.
~ Monday is Field Day! Please make sure that your child is wearing sunscreen, appropriate shoes, TIE DYE shirt and shorts! It's going to be a hot and messy day!
~ Wednesday and Friday students will be performing the plays that they have been working on.
~ Thursday is the 5th grade vs. Staff kick ball game in the morning.
~ Friday is the last day of school! We will have our End of School Year Party from 1:40 - 2:45! We will be having ice cream sundaes to celebrate! Look for a note coming home on Monday with more information.

What we are working on this week!
~
-Reader's Workshop:
Students will be learning about fiction and drama. We will look at the similarities and differences between drama and fiction. Throughout this unit students will be reading fiction and drama while looking at the plot and characters. At the end of the unit students will get the chance to put on their own play.
-Writer's Workshop:
Students will spend this next week reviewing the writing process. They will get to choose what type of stories they would like to write about and go through the entire writing process.
-Science:
Students will continue exploring animals. We will look at the Insect family closely. We will discuss their characteristics along with the life cycle. During this time the students will get the chance to watch a butterfly go through it's life cycle.
-Math:
Students will continue learning about multiplication and division.
-Social Studies:
Not this week.
