Colonial Smiley Project

You know him; you’ve seen him in your notes, now it’s time to draw him on your own. You will create a cartoon that shows Colonial Smiley at one of the following events that led to the American Revolution:

1.      Proclamation of 1763

2.      Quartering Act, 1765

3.      Stamp Act, 1765

4.      Townshend Act, 1767

5.      Boston Massacre, 1770

6.      Boston Tea Party, 1773

7.      Intolerable Acts, 1774

8.      First Continental Congress, 1774

9.      Lexington and Concord, 1775

The cartoon may show humor, be serious, or be patriotic. Make sure to show Smiley’s reaction to the event.
