BISD's District Rodeo Art Show was on display in the Brazos Mall where it was judged January 11, 2008.

Twenty-eight of my students had work that made it to the Mall show. Of those FIVE pieces made it all the way to HOUSTON. This OUTSTANDING work will be judged again and be in the running for the other awards including the chance to be selected for auction and scholarships.

NEW ANNOUNCEMENT: UPCOMING EVENT- MARCH 1

Savannah Notgrass and Thuc Nuygen were selected to participate in the HLS&R's QUICK DRAW contest which will take place March 1st during the Rodeo.

This is a chance for the young artists to show their AWESOME life drawing skills as they will have 50 minutes to draw a still-life or portrait from LIFE, using only a pencil. Be watching for results!

Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo School Art Project

Many students are busy working on Rodeo Art Projects. Studio nights are available each week. Check with Mrs. Middleton to find out what nights she can stay late. The Art Studio is available to all of Mrs. M's students. Rodeo Art Projects are due before we leave for the Christmas holidays. Our District's Rodeo Art Show goes at Brazos Mall BEFORE students return to school in January.
