*Attention* New BCE grading policy in accordance with new state laws is on
our newsletter page.
We are so excited to share with you a Service Learning project that our 4th
graders are going to be involved in. We will be writing stories and/or books
to children in Uganda. The stories and /or books will be published with
grant money and then sent to children in Uganda. The children of Uganda will
be able to read these stories/books and learn about us and our ways of life.
On Friday (Nov. 13th), we are planning to have all fourth graders in the
library to explain the project, to learn and see a bit about Uganda, and then
the students will brainstorm together some different topics they could write
about once we begin. We will gather our information on-line, through books,
and websites to share information with these kids about the country of
Uganda. This is a project that we will be working on at school, however, the
kiddos may come home talking about things they have learned about Uganda. We
just wanted to give families a "heads up" on what was going on.
