FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions: This page contains answers to common questions of students and parents.
  1. How does the student know when assignments are due?
  2. Can there be more time given to the students to study reviews before the test?
  3. Can the students take a retest for low test grades?

How does the student know when assignments are due?

At the front of the classroom, there is a column marked "Homework" beside
the column marked "Materials Needed" and "Daily Agenda".
Students can write the assignments and their due dates for the week and
the future in their assignment notebook. The assignment and due date will
be posted until the due date. Students can also access my webpage
under "Homework" or "Other Assignment". The homework and any other
assignment can be viewed or downloaded and printed out from these links.
Students can also view the "Weekly Agenda" from my web page.

Can there be more time given to the students to study reviews before the test?

I will hand-out a study guide for Science Test at least 3 nights before the
test. If the student forgets the Study Guide/Review, one can be downloaded
and printed from my web page from "Other Assignments".
Also, the students can write test dates from the "Homework" column and also
check "Weekly Assignments" on my web page for test schedules.

Can the students take a retest for low test grades?

The students can retest for low grades but will be done during recess time,
not during class time. The Science Curriculum is still being taught and
everyday is important, so I don't think it is in the students' best interest
to lose class time to improve test scores. They usually have 3 to 5 day
to study the reviews. The reviews are extremely comprehensive covering all
information that will be tested. They have their notes/graphic
organizer/scienc journals and textbooks to use while studying.
