The average pencil is seven inches long, with just a half-inch eraser - in case you thought optimism was dead. -Robert Brault, software developer, writer (1972- )

I was born in Galliano, Louisiana, a long time ago. We moved to Texas when
I was two years old and continued to live here. As a child, I called
a small agricultural town, South of Houston near the coast, home. In a
family of 7, I grew up loving animals and relatives. But I have to admit,
after living in Austin for 17 years, it feels as if Austin is now our home.

My husband, Tommy, and I have 2 grown children. We are also blessed with 4
beautiful grandchildren that we take to the Round Rock Express games, and to
the beach in Port Aransas on vacation. Their moms & dads come along too.

I have taught elementary students for 18 years. I've worked in Round Rock
ISD for 14 of those years, and 11 years at Brushy Creek Elementary.
Presently, I teach Science and Social Studies to 3 sections of 5th Graders.

The 5th Grade teachers I work with truly care about student success. I am
proud and honored to be their colleague because we are a group of
dedicated, effective, and successful teachers.

Together we stand, divided we fall.

We will come to class ready to learn, no matter what it takes.
