I graduated from the University of Texas with a specialization in English and in Reading. I am also
certified in Gifted and Talented education. I taught first grade in the Austin and Pflugerville school
districts, before coming to Brushy Creek in 2001 as a Reading Teacher. This is my third year teaching
first grade at Brushy Creek, and I am very excited to be a bluejay!
Personal Tidbits: I love love love reading! When I don't have my nose in a book, I also write stories, and
enjoy rubber stamping. My husband is a graphic designer/illustrator/web designer and in his spare
time, enjoys singing in an oldies band as their "Elvis." I have two daughters, Presley (in 4th grade) and
Erin (Kinder) who both like to create "shows" for us to watch.
