This is my 20th year teaching at Brushy Creek. I have been in first grade
the whole time. I have a bachelor's degree in history from the University of
Detroit. I have an associate's degree from Kapiolani Community College
in Honolulu. I worked as a respiratory therapist for 15 years before I
enrolled in UT. (I love to learn!) I received my teaching certificate from
UT. I also have an ESOL certification and am TAG trained. I love teaching
the little ones. It is fun, challenging, and very rewarding.
I have lived in Austin for 21 years. My parents are here, as is my oldest
brother. My second brother and his wife are with the National Park
Service. He is currently at currently consulting for the NPS and she is the
deputy chief ranger at Yellowstone.
