Starting school is both exciting and scary. Education is a life time committment, but you can do a lot to make sure your child is successful. -Make sure your child eats breakfast and has plenty of sleep. -Show your respect and enthusiasm by speaking positively about school. -Read every day, since reading is a key to learning. -Limit TV and video games, perhaps to weekends. -Give your child enough help to be successful, but don't do it for them. -Talk about school expectations, both academic and behavior.
