Itinerary for December 14, 2009 - 6th grade only!!!!
6th GRADERS ONLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
3:30 pm – Beginners leave eighth period and head for band hall to get instrument and music
3:40 pm – Set up on stage and check attendance
3:45 pm – Rehearsal of full group
4:20 pm – Students riding 4:30 bus will be dismissed with pass
4:25 pm – Students attending aspire will go at this time.
4:30 pm – Students walking or riding in car will be dismissed.
Make sure you have made arrangements to get home and have communicated with your parents regarding these two days.
You have worked very hard and we are very proud of you. Let’s show them what you have accomplished.
Winter Concert Itinerary December 15, 2009
6:15 pm This is probably the best time to show up so that you can be where you need to be by 6:30 pm.
6:30 pm Beginners are on stage and 7th & 8th graders are in the band hall.
Beginners are to wear blue jeans (not shorts) and their new t-shirt. They can wear any type of shoes.
7th & 8th graders need to wear their white oxford or tuxedo shirt with black pants, black shoes and black socks. Ladies can wear black flats or even heels if they choose. The key is no white socks or shoes. These draw too much attention to your dress and away from the performance of the music.
7:00 pm Concert starts

Symphonic Band
Jazz Band
Wind Ensemble
8:00 – 8:30 pm Concert ends. We will shoot for an hour but plan on an hour and a half in case set ups run longer than planned.
This is a mandatory performance. It is at least 20% of your six week average. Missing the concert should only be in dire situation. This has been on the calendar since August. Emergency room visits and matters of this nature should be the only reason to miss. If there is a conflict that you already know about, we need to know as soon as possible. This will not necessarily excuse the absence, but we might be able to fix the conflict. Your group is counting on you. Don’t let them down!!
