It is with great pleasure that I welcome you and your child to Cactus
Ranch. I am so excited to have the opportunity to have your child in my
classroom this year!
My husband Glenn and I are the proud parents of Emily and Ethan. Ethan, a
third grader, loves swimming, animals and dinosaurs. Emily, a fifth grader,
loves anything having to do with science, soccer or swimming.
My personal hobbies include reading, visiting museums and spending time with
my family. We have two dogs:a Golden Retriever/Lab mix named Gracie and a
Schnauzer/Lab mix named Grover who are the source of many writing prompts, so
you may hear all about them!
I have taught kindergarten for four years at Cactus Ranch, and I previously
taught for several years at Hill Elementary in Austin I.S.D. I attended the
University of Texas for my undergraduate degree, and the University of
Houston Law Center for a Juris Doctorate. While I used to be a prosecuting
attorney, I am so proud to call myself a teacher, and I can't imagine a more
rewarding and fulfilling profession.
I am anticipating a fun-filled year of learning for all of us in which I
strive to help each child in my class have an exciting, positive learning
experience.

involvement and the chance to work together to make this a successful year. I
look forward to being a part of your child's education!
We will work on creating a Classroom Mission Statement during the first two
weeks of school. It will cover how we want to be treated, how we will treat
others, and the consequences if we need too many reminders.
My mission is to make learning fun. In our class, we will strive to exceed our
expectations and to learn skills that will last us a lifetime!
