About The Teacher

My name is Cassandra Bursey. I am married and a mother of three wonderful
children. My youngest child is a senior at Round Rock High School. I have one
grandson who is a sophmore at McNeil High School.

My family and I have been in Round Rock for fifteen years now. We were a
military family for 23 years which gave me the opportunity to live in 9
states and 2 countries.

I have been teaching over 25 years. All of my teaching experience has been
with kindergarten and pre-k students. I have had the opportunity to be a
classroom teacher and coordinator for an early childhood program. I have
taught with RRISD for 14 years and AISD for 1 year.

I attended Florida State University for my undergraduate degree and National
Lewis University for my masters degree in Early Childhood Curriculum and
Instruction.

I enjoy reading, shopping, traveling, and spending time with my family. But
most of all, my passion is teaching kindergarten and being a part of the
magical first year of school. My goal is to ensure that each child in my
class has an unforgetable positive learning experience with lots of new and
exciting challenges. I look forward to getting to know you and your child. We
will work together as a team to make this a successful year for your child.
During the year we will communicate through newsletters, conferences, phone
calls, and emails.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns at 424-8059.

I look forward to being a part of your child's education and another great
kindergarten year!

Mission For The Class

The children and I will work to create our class mission statement and social
contract during the first few weeks of school. Our social contract will
include how we want to be treated, how we will treat each other, and what we
will do if we need reminders.

My mission for the class is to create a family of children that are excited
to come to school each day, eager to learn new things, and respectful and
caring about each other.
