This is my fourth year at CRE but after seeing me you will know I am not new
to teaching. This will be my 34th year to teach. I taught kindergarten at
Lorena Oates Elementary in West Orange,Texas for ten years and then moved to
Baton Rouge where I taught kindergarten for 1 year. Our next stop in life
was in Mandeville, La. where I taught transitional first grade for one year
in Covington, La., about twenty minutes from my house. I then taught
kindergarten for several years in Mandeville. Our next journey in life led us
to Austin and I taught kindergarten at River Oaks Elementary for many years.
We then moved to Victoria, Texas and I taught pre-k for three and a half
years. I am thrilled to be back in Round Rock and do not plan on ever moving
again. I have two sons Nicholas and Dustin. One turned 28 and the other
turned 25 on August 10. Yes, I had them on the same day three years apart.
Birthdays, back to school supplies and new school clothes were always fun
and challenging. Nick is living in Redwood City where he is
finishing his doctorate in chemistry at Stanford. He has already published
three articles in the science journal.I am so proud of him! Dustin is out of
the navy after serving for six years as a nuclear power reactor operator. He
is presently living with us and going to college. He plans on becoming a
dentist.I am equally proud of him. If you want to see me smile, just ask me
about my boys(oops! young men).
I do have a wonderful husband even though he has moved me around
quite a bit. We love to snow ski and scuba dive Life is good. I am
thrilled to be your child's kindergarten teacher and I just love kids. They
keep me young and they are so eager to learn about everything. I am sure we
will have a most productive year together and thank you for entrusting your
child to me. I will treasure every one of them as if they were my own and
treat them with the same respect I would want my own children to receive.
To reach everyone's needs and move them forward socially, physically,
emotionally and academically. I want us to have fun on our journey of
learning.
