Cactus Ranch Student Council

   Cactus Ranch's Student Council (STUCO) is in its first year. It consists of two students from each fourth and fifth grade class. Our Student Council gives students an opportunity to make a difference. Each year the student council will choose one community service project and one fundraising project.  Students are expected to attend monthly  meetings as well as school sponsored events. Students are taught parliamentary procedure and learn they are representing their classes, not themselves. Students also learn cooperation, dependability, and most of all responsibility.

   In addition, Student Council representatives promote school spirit. Student council members try to encourage all students and staff to participate in various activities as well as spirit days planned throughout the year. Every Friday Student Council encourages all students and staff to show their shcool pride by wearing their school t-shirts. Go Longhorns!
