About The Teacher
Before becoming a librarian, I taught grades 5-8 in Cypress-Fairbanks ISD and Round Rock ISD. I earned my Bachelor's degree from Texas A&M University in middle school education and my Master's degree from the University of North Texas in library and information science. In my free time I love to be active and outdoors, and of course I love to read!

Mission
The mission of the Cactus Ranch Library is to create a student-centered library media center that provides a safe, nurturing environment in which students can search for information and ideas for their educational, informational, and recreational needs. The library seeks to promote an appreciation of literature, enabling students to interpret meaning from various forms of literature as they become lifelong readers and learners. Further, the library seeks to ensure that our students acquire the necessary information literacy skills they will need to become productive learners with skills and knowledge necessary to lead successful meaningful lives in the 21st century. This mission recognizes the essential role of the school library program in the educational process as students reach their full potential.
