Hey Families,
Wow! The time seems to be flying by at warp speed!! I can't believe it's already October! We definitely have the school year in full swing! We have just started our multiplication unit in math and are learning all about our state's regions in social studies! These units are a couple of my favorites and promise to be fun filled, learning adventures for your student!
This week we had our student council representative speeches. They were fantastic! The kids did a wonderful job with their speeches! I know we will have 2 outstanding students to represent our class in student council! Voting results will be announced on Tuesday, October 13th! Good luck guys!!
This Monday, October 12th is a student holiday and Parent/Teacher/Student conferences. If you need to refresh your memory about which time you chose you can click on the Parent/Teacher/Student Conferences link on my homepage to view the schedule and find your time. Please remember to bring your student with you, as they will be leading the conference. They have some GREAT stuff to show you!!
With parent conferences happening, that means the end of the nine weeks is near!! I know, crazy! The nine weeks ends on October 23rd. Please be sure to check home access to make sure your child isn't missing any assignments. Also, please turn in corrections if your student has any. These will allow students to improve their grade(s) up to a passing score of 70. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
Have a great weekend!!
Smiles,
Mrs. McLelland
