Hey Families,
Wow! The time seems to be flying by at warp speed!! I can't believe it's already the end of November!! We definitely have the school year in full swing! We have just finished our division unit in math and are learning all about our state's Native American tribes in social studies! These units are a couple of my favorites and promise to be fun filled, learning adventures for your student!
This week we are having our fall Book Fair!! This is a great opportunity to stock up on some awesome books for your home library!! The Book Fair is open today (Thursday) and tomorrow! We are also having our 1st Annual CRE Sock Hop!! This is a family dance this Friday from 7-9pm in the Cafeteria/Gym! Our theme is "Rocking through the Ages" with music from the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s! Be sure to come so you can see all of your favorite CRE teachers dance to routines from these decades!! It promises to be a fun filled night of laughter and dancing!! Hope to see you there!! Friday is also our Wellness Walk, during our Specials time from 8:00-8:50am. Please come out and walk with your student! They get extra spirit sticks for each parent that is walking with them!!
This Monday, November 23rd is our first field trip of the year!! We will be touring the Capitol Complex downtown!!! This is such a fun trip that promises to wow your students!! We will be leaving campus around 9am and returning around 2pm! Please remember to send your child with a sack lunch that is completely disposable!! We don't want to have to carry anything around with us! Also, we are encouraging students to wear any CRE shirt they may have! This will make it a lot easier to identify our group and keep us all together! Finally, don't forget to have them wear comfortable shoes, we will be walking a lot!
Thanksgiving Break is next week, Wendesday, November 25th thru Friday, November 27th! Enjoy this time with your families and friends!! I am thankful for each and everyone of you and your student that you allow me to mold academically each and every day! Thank you for your wonderful children that never cease to amaze me!! Happy Thanksgiving!
Smiles,
Mrs. McLelland
