About The Teacher
Dear Cactus Ranch Family, Whether you are new to Cactus Ranch, or have been here for a few years, welcome! I hope your summer has been a pleasant one and that everyone is ready for a wonderful year of working and learning together. I am so excited to have the opportunity to have your child in my classroom. My name is Krista Thompson; I was born in Houston and moved to Round Rock when I was in 5th grade and I am a product of the Round Rock School District. I then continued on to Texas State University in San Marcos to pursue my teaching degree. I graduated December 2007 with honors, receiving a bachelor of science in Elementary Education. I am currently certified to teach early childhood education through 8th grade. I spent last year teaching 4th grade here at CRE, and I am very excited and look forward to what this school year has in store for us! I am married to a wonderful PE teacher at Fern Bluff Elementary! We have 2 beautiful puppies named Lilly and Bella and they are our pride and joy. We love playing fetch with them and going for long walks or runs down the trails by our house. Being married to a PE teacher keeps me very active...I play softball and have just learned how to golf! I love the color pink, diet coke, sunny weather, and Hannah Montana (SHHHH don't tell!) :) I look forward to getting to know all of my new fabulous 4th grade students!
