Ms. Alicia Yost

4th Grade

I am originally from Brooklyn New York.  I graduated from the University of
Pittsburgh with two Bachelor Degrees in History and Economics, and a minor in
Mathematics.  I then moved to the beautiful Islands of Hawaii where I received
a Masters Degree in Education.  I have been teaching for the past 5 years in
Honolulu. 

I am just about to be married in a few months and am very excited.
My fiancée and I moved to Round Rock to begin our lives together and
provide more opportunities for both his career and our future children.  

I truly enjoy being a teacher and working with children as they offer so many
different perspectives about life and solving problems. It is this unique
perspective that brings great joy to my career.  As a teacher I have always
held high expectations for all of my students.  I believe if you continue to
support, believe in, and guide a child, they can achieve anything. This is the
foundation passed on from my own parents. This foundation is what guides my
teaching philosophy.

We can succeed above and beyond our expectations. If we take a chance, believe
in ourselves, and never give up, we can do anything we put our minds to.
