Envelope Book

How to Make Envelope Books

Take 5 sheets of construction paper.
Fold each sheet in half.

Glue the sheets together back to back.
Open the page. Glue an envelope to the bottom portion.

The question is glued to the outside of the envelope. The answer is placed on
a sheet of paper and placed inside of the envelope. Illustrations can be drawn
or glued on the top portion of the folded paper above the envelope.
*Make sure not to use too much glue.

Decorate the cover with designs using markers, glitter glue, or let
the students use their imagination to think of unique decorations.

Types of Envelope Books

Joke or Riddle Books
You put the riddle on the outside of the envelope and the
answer on a slip of paper which goes inside the envelope.

Letter Books
You can make a book based on letters to characters in a
book your students have read. On the outside of the envelope
you write who am I. On the inside the student writes out a
description of the character and his role in the book.

Science Question and Answer Book
Students write questions on the outside of the envelope.
They write up the answer and place it on the inside.
