Dear Parents,

Happy Birthday to Noah (11-25)! He will be our Student of the Week for this short week and next! We look forward to learning more about our special student next Friday!

Happy Thanksgiving! I hope this week is a happy, safe, and restful time for your family and that you have some down time to reflect on your blessings!

When I think of all that I'm thankful for, working at CCE with your children and having such great parent support are both high on that list!

Thank you for celebrating my birthday last Tuesday.  The flowers are still as pretty today as they were on Tuesday! The gift card was a perfect gift! Brody and I spent a couple of hours at Barnes and Noble on Saturday. It is one of our favorite places to go together.  Your thoughtfulness is very generous and kind!

Special thanks go out to Bernadette Rivera and Lisa Diaz for coordinating the Salvation Army Angel Giving Tree Project. It is a wonderful opportunity for the class and families to share with those who have less among us. Thank you for getting involved in this wonderful service project. So, when you are out and about this week and weekend - please think of our Angel Tree child! Donations are already coming in.

No Spelling and Green Reading Log this week! Use this time to work on Night Writes - 3 stories are due on December 1st!

Picture re-takes will occur on Wednesday, December 2.  If you would like to have your child’s photo retaken, you must send in the packet that went home last week.  If your child was absent on Picture Day, photos will be taken on December 2.  Order forms are available in the office

Brownie Troop 676 is collecting old batteries to recycle.  Instead of throwing your batteries away this year, please send them to the school so the Brownies can dispose of them properly at a hazardous waste center.  Thank you for supporting this effort to "Go Green".

CCE is having a poster contest to promote energy awareness in our school, homes, and community.  There will be one winner from each grade level.  The winning posters will be placed on the Watt Watchers wall for the remainder of the school year.  Directions:  Entries must be on paper 8 ½” X 11”.  All posters must be 2 dimensional. The student's name and teacher’s name must be on the back of the poster. The deadline to turn posters in to the front office is Friday, November 30.
