Dear Parents,
The children were so excited to see it snow today! We enjoyed playing in the flurries after lunch. Please continue to send your child to school with a coat and appropriate clothing for the weather conditions. Generally, we do go outside for recess unless it's raining or the wind chill is below 32 degrees.
It's hard to believe we are now in December! It seems not too long ago when Mrs. Pardue started the school year with us as a Student Teacher. In just a few days, she will be graduating. Her last day with the class is on December 11th. I appreciate Mrs. Pardue’s commitment and hard work during her short time with us. We are going to miss her dearly, and wish her the best of luck on her new adventure!
SCHOLASTIC BOOK ORDERS DUE: Monday, December 7th. Orders will be here before Friday, December 18th in time for the holiday break. You can order either on-line or turn it in to me. If you want to order books for holiday gifts and do not want your child to see what you ordered, please email me. We can arrange for you to pick up your order and your child will not know! Thank you for your orders!
Happy Birthday to Matthew (12/04)! He will be our Student of the Week next week! We look forward to learning more about our special student next Friday!
News from the Office: It's that time of year! Parents we wanted to let you know that childcare will be available for siblings (at least 1 year old) during the Holiday Party scheduled for Friday, December 18th in the Parent Resource Center located in the portables. You will be able to drop off your children at 1:30 pm and the center will be open until 2:45 pm. If you need additional time before 1:30 pm please let us know to see if special arrangements can be made. Cost is $5 per child. To make a reservation please contact Mary Anne Hettenhaus, Parent Support Specialist at Canyon Creek. Please include the name and age of the children you will be dropping off.
