On April 3rd we will be opening up a second lane for cars to use during pick up and dismissal. The second lane will enter from Boulder along with the original lane and will snake behind the building to the west porch where pick up and drop off will be. Both lines will exit onto Ember Glen which will be crowded during peak times but should give traffic an option of going either east or west. We hope having two lines will reduce the frustration that many parents are expressing and ultimately help make our system safer for the children.
Details for the new system: Starts the morning of April 3rd K-2 will use the west porch (by the bike racks) K-2 will release 3 min. early at 2:42 to be able to clear out of the way for the older kids. Teachers will stand at the doors and help guide/direct during the first week. Second grade will travel inside at dismissal and exit out the kinder wing. 3-5 will use the east porch ( the original drop off/ pick up line) If a family has children in different lines the older child will travel to the west porch to join the younger child. If a family has a vehicle that does not have a driver side door that the child can exit through they will need to use the original line regardless of the grade level.
