Read, read, read! Every student should be exposed to text daily. Reading stories at bed time is a great way to do this. Your child can read to you or be read to. Start with a picture walk predicting what the story is about, read the text with your child with intonation and ask questions at the end of the text to develop comprehension.Back to Top

If my child is having some problems behaviorally, how will I know?
Look for the green stamp on your child's hand at the end of the day. Green stamp = great day! If your child does not receive a stamp it means they didn't always make the appropriate choice even after redirecting. If the situation continues I will send you an e-mail letting you know how the day went. After parent conferences I will electronically send a behavior spreadsheet noting poor choices. Spreadsheets will only be sent home if the student has a recurring, unacceptable behavior or if the number of incidents is unusually high.Back to Top
