I am a former army brat and 18 year special education veteran. I can easily
say I love my job, I love my school, and I love my students.
I received my 4 year degree from The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in
Secondary art and Special education. My graduate degree is from the
University of Texas in Multicultural Special education, with a minor in
Behavior management. I also have ESL certification.
I have taught life skill here at Canyon Vista since 2001.
My family is from East Texas. My Parents still live in Karnack Texas. I have
3 children, a wonderful sister, who is also a special ed teacher, and a baby
brother in the Military.
My favorite things to do are: quilting, reading and going to the movies. I
hope to add world traveler one day.
Our mission is to serve our students and parents with professional
competence and respect. We will work as a team to prepare our student to
live as successful members of our community. We will develope their levels
of independence while supporting their acquisition of academic,social and
vocational skills. I will collaborate with parents, teachers, and
adminitrators to ensure a positive middle school experience. This village
will be a place where all students can become life long learners.
