Science background: My undergraduate experience at Southwestern University was in Biology, Animal Behavior, and Psychology. Research experience includes studying Orca vocalizations in the field in Canada through Southwestern University, and Neuroscience research at UT Austin.

 
Social Work background: My masters degree is in Social Work and I worked in Communities in Schools in East Houston. I was also a medical case manager for a number of hospitals in Houston and Austin.

 

 
Experience with Youth: I have been a middle school church youth leader and worked as a social worker in a middle school campus based stay in school program. I also participated in a program geared toward reconciliation of youth from divergent ethnic groups in the Balkans. This will be my fourth year teaching at Canyon Vista.

Mission For The Class

The mission for the class is to provide a fun and creative environment for
student learning and for each student to feel both challenged and
successful. I aim for students to discover the joy of science as well as
master the content.
