Grading Policy

25% daily work (in class and homework) Expect daily homework except on days we have a test.
75% Assessments:                    quizzes (expect weekly)
                                                 tests (2 per 6 weeks) 

If a student recevies a grade less than 70% on any assessment they need to:
-correct their original assessment
-attend tutorials
-retake the assessment for a maximum grade of 70%
The retake must take place within 1 week, only 1 retake is permitted per assessment.


Late/Absent Work

If a student is absent, it is his/her responsibility to get the work that was missed. (There are crates in the classroom containing the past two weeks' work.)  The student will have the same number of days they were gone to turn in the makeup work.  If your student is out for more than 2 days, I suggest you contact me so I can leave work in the student center for pick up. If a student misses an assessment, he/she will be expected to take it when all makeup work is done. 

If a student fails to turn in an assignment on time, there will be a 20 point penalty for turning it in 1 day late.  After that, there will be an additional 5 points taken off for each day.  After 3 weeks, the work will not be accepted for any credit.
