About The Teacher
Hello, everyone! Many of you may recognize me from 2nd grade. I am so excited to be in 4th grade with you this year. This is the beginning of my 4th year at Caraway. I was a student teacher in 3rd grade, but first walked in the doors the year before when we were still known as North Oaks. You had not started school yet. I grew up in Corpus Christi, Texas until I moved to Austin to go to college.I attended to The University of Texas at Austin where I received a Bachelors Degree in Human Development and Family Sciences. Right after college, I worked in a hospital teaching young families about eating healthy. I also worked in Pre K at a local childcare center, but I decided that I really wanted to teach kids that were a little older so I went back to UT to get my teaching certificate. My husband and I will be married 5 years this September. He is also a fellow Longhorn. We live in Cedar Park with our dog Sammie. She is half Yorkshire Terrier and half Bichon Frise. I love to watch Longhorn football during football season. I also love to read in my spare time.
