We would like each student to have a backpack large enough to accomodate a
standard 9x12 three ring notebook or pocket folder as well as a complete
change of clothing.
It would be very helpful if you dress your child in loose, elastic
waistband pants or shorts to facilitate potty training/independent bathroom
access. Also remember that we often get VERY dirty/messy at school and dress
your child accordingly. Really nice clothes are not the best choice for
school.
Parent training in "Strategies to Enhance Your Child's Social-Communication
Skills" will be offered starting Thursday September 18th. We will meet at
Forest North Elementary every other Thursday from 6-8 PM. The last class
will be held on Novmber 20th. During the weeks that class is not held,
someone (probably me) will be coming to your house to help you use the
skills that were taught the previous week with your child. These visits will
be after school or on the weekend. Please contact me by email or phone to
reserve a spot as space is somewhat limited.
