Ø Team Website: Assignments and test dates for each class as well as important announcements will be posted on our team website. To access the team website, take the following steps: Visit www.southlakecarroll.edu . Click on “schools”. Click on “Carroll Middle School" Click on “Team Information” Click on “Cowboys”
Ø Principal’s Email: In the top left corner of the CMS Website, you can subscribe to Mr. Miller’s email newsletter.
Ø Newsflash: To receive instant communication from the Cowboys teachers, subscribe to Newsflash. Click on the NewsFlash link on the team website and click “add email or mobile device address.”
Ø Family Access: This is a tool that allows you to view your child’s grades as soon as they are posted. It is expected that each family subscribes to this and checks it regularly. Your child is responsible for being aware of his/her grades and any missing work. To sign up for Family Access or to retrieve a forgotten login or password, see Mrs. Bass in the front office.
Ø Tutorials: All Cowboys teachers are available for tutoring every morning from 8:00-8:30. Your child must have a pass signed by you to be in the halls before 8:30. If a student comes in asking for help on an assignment, it must be apparent that he/she has at least attempted the assignment. Please be advised that we often have meetings on Wednesday mornings.
Ø Progress Reports: Your child will bring home a progress report on Tuesday of the fourth week of every six-weeks. If he/she has below a 75% in any class, he/she will receive an individualized, detailed progress report from the teacher. If this is the case, your child must get the detailed report signed by you and return it by Thursday. If the report is not returned, your child will be expected to serve a lunch detention on Friday.
Ø Team Fund: Throughout the year, we enjoy many team activities. A one-time fee of $15.00 is asked of each student to cover those expenses. Please have your child turn it in to his/her Dragon Den Teacher. (The cost of any field trip is not included). Thank you! Other teachers that are part of the Cowboys team also have students from other teams. Your child may or may not have the following teachers.
