Wed: Take QUIZ over Articles 2 & 3. Begin Articles 4-6 of the Constitution. HW: Finish Articles 4-6 Review Questions.
Thurs: Discuss Articles 4-6. Begin the Bill of Rights. HW: Finish Review Questions/illustrations for the Bill of Rights. Current Event due tomorrow!
Fri: Share and discuss current events and their relation to the Constitution. HW: Study for Monday's QUIZ over Articles 4-6 and the Bill of Rights. (**Next week there will be a quiz on Monday 12/14 and a TEST on Wednesday 12/16 over the Constitution!**)
Week 14: November 30 - December 4

Tues: Take QUIZ over the 7 principles of the Constitution. Begin learning about the preamble and Article 1 of the Constitution. HW: Finish Article 1 Review Questions.

Thurs: Take QUIZ over the preamble and Article 1 of the Constitution. HW: Finish Articles 2 & 3 Review Questions.
Fri: Discuss Articles 2 & 3 and the electoral college.
Week 13: November 16-20
Mon: Take QUIZ over Chapter 8 Sections 1 and 2. Complete questions over Chapter 8 Section 3 (ratification of the Constitution). HW: none.
Tues: Discuss the Federalists, Antifederalists, and ratification of the Constitution. HW: none
Wed: Review Chapter 8 (Articles of Confederation and the Constitutional Convention). HW: Study for tomorrow's test.
Thurs: Take TEST over Chapter 8. Read excerpt from The Federalist papers and evaluate by creating a web. HW: Finish web, if necessary.
Fri: Discuss arguments for and against the Constitution. Watch clips from John Adams. HW: Eat lots of turkey and pumpkin pie, and be thankful!!
Week 12: November 9-13 **If you are doing extra credit memorization, you must complete it by 4 pm on Friday.**

Week 11: November 2-6
Mon: Finish discussing the Declaration of Independence. HW: Study for tomorrow's test over Chapter 6.
Tues: Take Chapter 6 TEST. Begin working on 7.1/7.2 questions. HW: Finish Chapter 7 Sections 1 and 2 Questions.
Wed: Continue discussing Revolutionary War, with a focus on Saratoga. HW: Study for quiz over 7.1 and 7.2.
Thur: Take QUIZ over 7.1 and 7.2. Discuss progress of Revolutionary War. HW: Complete Chapter 7 Sections 3 & 4 Questions.
Fri: Discuss end of War and its effects. HW: Finish American Revolution Timeline to turn in on Monday 11/9.
Week 10: October 26-30 (We are covering a lot of information this week, so be prepared for homework questions almost every night. It's fun to learn, right?!!). Also, I will be sending home extra credit opportunities this week that are optional for students (memorizing the Declaration of Independence preamble and/or Patrick Henry's speech to the Virginia assembly).
Mon: Discuss Townhend Acts, Boston Massacre, Tea Act, Boston Tea Party. Watch clip from John Adams movie. HW: Study for tomorrow's quiz over Chapter 6 Sections 1 and 2.
Tues: QUIZ over Chapter 6 Sections 1 and 2. Begin Chapter 6 Section 3 questions. HW: Finish Chapter 6 Section 3 questions.
Wed: Discuss Intolerable Acts, Paul Revere's midnight ride, Lexington and Concord. HW: Chapter 6 Section 4 questions.
Thurs: Discuss Bunker Hill, Thomas Paine's Common Sense, the Declaration of Independence. HW: Declaration of Independence chart/questions.
Fri: Discuss Declaration of Independence. Watch clip from John Adams movie, depicting the Continental Congresses and Declaration. HW: none. (We will have a TEST on Tuesday, Nov. 3 over all of Chapter 6.)
Week 9: October 19-23
Mon: Discuss the French and Indian War. HW: none (begin studying all of your review questions for Wednesday's test)
Tues: Finish the French and Indian War. Review Chapter 5. HW: Study for tomorrow's TEST.
Wed: Test over Chapter 5. Begin answering questions over Chapter 6 Section 1. HW: Complete 6.1 questions.
Thurs: Discuss British restrictions on the colonies (Stamp Act, etc.). HW: Complete 6.2 Questions.
Fri: Discuss growing tensions between Britain and the colonies, including the Boston Massacre. Watch clip of John Adams movie concerning the Boston Massacre and its trial. HW: none.
Week 8: October 12-16
Mon: No school
Tues: Discuss colonial values and culture, the Great Awakening, and the Enlightenment (Chapter 5, Section 1). HW: Answer the front page of Chapter 5 Section 2 Questions
Wed: Discuss the roots of representational government (Chapter 5 Section 2). HW: none
Thur: Discuss the Zenger trial and its relation to the First Amendment. HW: Study for tomorrow's quiz over 5.1 and 5.2
Fri: Take Quiz over Chapter 5 Sections 1 and 2. Begin reading Section 3 of Chapter 5 (French and Indian War). HW: Finish 5.3 Questions.
Week 7: October 5-9
Mon: Discuss characteristics of the Backcountry. HW: Study for tomorrow's quiz over Chapter 4 Sections 3 & 4 (the Southern colonies and the Backcountry) and identification of the 13 colonies on the map
Tues: Quiz over the 13 colonies (identify on map) and 4.3 and 4.4. HW: none
Wed: Review all of Chapter 4. HW: Study for tomorrow's test over Chapter 4 (characteristics of New England, Middle, Southern colonies, and the Backcountry)
